Acupressure

Acupressure (Chinese Tui na) is an ancient healing art that’s based on the traditional Chinese medicine practice of acupuncture. Acupressure uses hand or elbow to put physical pressure on meridian points instead of using needles. Pressing these points can help release muscle tension and promote blood circulation. Acupressure helps to manage muscle pains, low back paintension headaches, nausea, vomiting,  and stomach ache. Acupressure can apply to the patient who are not suitable for acupuncture.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin to create suction. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that cupping removes harmful substances and toxins from the body to promote healing.  Cupping can apply for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammationblood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. As the air inside the cup cools, Cupping causes bruise marker on your skin for a few days.  

Consultation for Chinese Herbal and food therapy

Tradition Chinese medicine considers how different foods can impact different physiological functions within the human body.  For example, “cold food” can reduce the “fire” in the liver that causes headache, hypertension, irregular menstruation et al.  Bitter food can regulate the “heart” meridian  and support reduction of stress and anxiety. During this consultation, we will diagnosis your body constitution, identify any meridian  unbalance, and determine herbal and food therapies that aid healing.

Qigong & Meditation

Qi Gong is an ancient mediation practice. Its aim is to cultivate body Qi (vital energy) to promote health, wellness, and happiness. Qi Gong builds a connection between your body and spirit through simple movement and breathing that anyone can learn. Research have shown that Qi Gong can improve immune function, reduce stress, calms the mind, relaxes the body, and therefore lifts the spirit. In this service, you will learn principal of Qi Gong’ theory, how to practice Qi Gong, how to avoid mental illness during Qi Gong practice. 

Service Fees

Initial visit:   $175   (First health evaluation $95 and first acupuncture treatment $80).

Follow up visit: $80

We provide 25% discount for senior, students and low income family.

We accept major medical insurances following as:

CareFirst BlueCross Blueshield; Aetna; Cigna; EHP; Unite Healthcare; Medicaid;  University of Maryland Medical System; 

For Medicare insurance

Medicare covers acupuncture for cholinic lower back pain only, but Medicare has specific regulation for acupuncture.
